Wreathing of the Loon

Many cities have tree lighting events during the holiday season, but in Mercer, Wisconsin we hold a Loon Wreathing ceremony. Last Sunday morning a few loony souls, including Pete and me, braved the cold and sang carols as the Mercer Fire Department dressed Claire d'Loon in her holiday attire.
