A Fair Day

Fried Cheese Curds - one of many fine fair foods at the Vilas County Fair.  In addition to cheese curds there were brats, cotton candy, funnel cake and ribboned fried potatoes - no fried butter though. Pete and I checked out the County Fair last weekend.

Carnival Food

Food played a big part at the fair held in Eagle River.  Some of it was evidently in such demand that it had to be caged.

Jailed Jams

Some were considered dangerous.

There were some vegetables that were given their freedom and allowed to participate in Trig's Veggie Races.

Ready to Race

The watermelons got to play too.

"Did I win yet?"

There weren't very many animals. Just a few chickens that had nothing on Pearl, Henrietta and Flora, but there was a small petting zoo with LLAMAS!

They had two!

Food, vegetables, fruit, carnival rides, games and animals. The only thing missing at the County Fair was . . . a Civil War cannon?
